The performance of the Sri Lankan Cricket team at this year’s World Cup has left the Sri Lankan sports fans disillusioned. Most are utterly disappointed and dissatisfied at seeing how low the once-renowned country for its exceptional cricket has fallen. They watched as the Sri Lankan cricket team suffere significant losses, and it became apparent that some officials were not upholding the principles of good governance and fair play.

In response, sports fans have initiated the #GoHomeSLCBoard movement on Facebook. Despite audit reports, allegations, and parliamentary debates, it appears that the sports minister was unable to remove certain figures from the cricket board. As a result, the people have taken it upon themselves to lead the struggle.

Sri Lanka has a passionate cricket following, with millions of fans who love the sport. They have now embarked on a campaign to demand accountability and change, calling for the removal of those responsible for the team’s disappointing performance.

Losing matches is part of sports, but the recent events have left fans questioning the integrity and decisions made within the sport’s administration. Some even suggest that advice given by cricket consultants and the actions of the selection committee have further fueled their discontent.
