Sirikotha goes bankrupt?

The UNP headquarters ‘Sirikotha’ is on the verge of bankruptcy as it has become impossible to meet expenses for its daily functioning according to news site Asian Mirror.

According to the site Sirikotha staff had been only paid half of their salary last month and the minor staff had not been paid for several months.

It also noted that all Sirikotha phones are currently disconnected and only incoming calls are active.

The report further said that UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, new Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene and General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam have not been to the party headquarters for a long time.
