Minister Wimal Weerawansa reveals that the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance has verbally informed him about two other agreements to be signed with the American Energy company, New Fortress related to the Yugadhanavi power plant .
The Minister said that the issues regarding the Yugadanavi power plant have not been resolved yet and that the 11 coalition parties of the government will soon join hands to respond to this issue.
After the Prime Minister’s discussion, the President finally declined the request made by the other parties in the government. The President also instructed that if there is a political issue regarding this agreement, it should be resolved by meeting the Minister of Finance or the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
