Norochcholai Police Probe Double Murder Linked to Personal Dispute

Police in Norochcholai have launched an investigation into a fatal incident reported in Nawakkaduwa last night (03), in which two people were killed and another injured. According to officials, a man and two women were attacked with a sharp weapon, and all three were rushed to the Puttalam Hospital with serious injuries.

The 38-year-old male victim and a 35-year-old female victim, both residents of Nawakkaduwa, died shortly after admission. Preliminary inquiries indicate that the attack stemmed from a personal dispute.

The suspect, a 23-year-old resident of the same area, has been arrested and is currently receiving treatment at the Puttalam Hospital under police protection. Norochcholai Police are continuing further investigations.
