Three Women of Same Family from Jaffna Killed in London Accident

Three dead and Four injured...

A tragic accident occurred in Dunston, Chichester City, London, yesterday (13) resulting in the loss of three lives, all women from the same family. Additionally, four members of the family were injured in the incident, all of whom were residents of Jaffna.

Among the injured, one woman is in critical condition, and notably, she was the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.

The collision took place when one vehicle collided with another.

The identification of the deceased was made by a relative son, who resides in London.

According to him, the family had travelled to London to attend a wedding, and they were travelling in two vehicles. The incident occurred when the BMW they were travelling in collided with another vehicle, leading to the tragic outcome.

Due to the substantial cost of approximately 70 million Sri Lankan rupees to repatriate the bodies to Jaffna, the family has decided to hold the funeral in London instead.

The deceased individuals are a mother and her two daughters. They had relocated to Canada from Jaffna a couple of years ago and had travelled to London specifically for the wedding they were attending.

The Chichester police are currently conducting further investigations to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
