President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa in his New Year message says that all must work together to overcome challenges with unity and understanding. President Rajapaksa points out that Sri Lanka is currently facing the biggest challenge in its history in the face of the current economic and global crisis. As it is our norm to welcome the dawn of the New Year with fresh aspirations, the President wishes a prosperous year overcoming the existing challenges. In his New Year message, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa states that all should work together in unity to overcome the difficult times that exist. The Prime Minister also stated that future plans are being implemented to overcome the unforeseen hardships faced by the people during the challenging times.
