impeachment and no confidence motion would hamper the IMF support – Experts warn
It is reported that the panel of experts who are working on financial relief from the international Monetary Fund has informed opposition political leaders that the attempt of bringing no confidence motion against the government would hamper the process of IMF arrangement, reliable sources informed to Lankasara.
Economists preparing to move to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have told the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, which is preparing for the no-confidence motion, that bringing the impeachment or the no-confidence motion ahead of talks with the International Monetary Fund would be to the country’s detriment.
Accordingly, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya has decided to postpone the submission of no-confidence and impeachment motions to be tabled in Parliament on the 19th until the 24th.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya says that the process of signing the impeachment and no-confidence motion is being carried out successfully and consistently.
