Litro has given its employees leave from today until next Monday Company sources said.
The main distributio hub of Litro situated in Kelawarapitiya has been deserted,despite people are still queuing for gas all over the island. There is no gas at any gas station around Gampaha opur repoters said.
However, former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage had earlier called a special press conference and appointed a team of 50 parliamentarians to deal with the distribution and management of gas.
He also assured the country that the team would be responsible for managing the gas supply without any shortcomings.
However, in the end, for the first time in recent history, people are going through a year when stoves can not be lit.
