One of the six twin boys at the Castle Street Women’s Hospital has sadly passed away yesterday (17), at approximately 2:40 pm. Dr. Santhush Senapathy, Deputy Director of the hospital, confirmed this tragic news.
The cause of the child’s untimely demise has been identified as complications related to blood flow to the lungs.
Caring for underweight infants, especially those born prematurely, is an immensely challenging task. However, the dedicated hospital staff is unwavering in their commitment to providing the best possible care for the remaining children who are currently receiving treatment in the Premature Infant Unit of Castle Hospital.
Offering solace in these difficult times, Hospital Director Dr. Dantha Narayana shared that the other five children continue to be under vigilant medical supervision without any reported problems.
Their health and well-being remain the utmost priority, and the hospital staff is dedicated to ensuring their care and recovery.
