The Northern Governor has been appointed as the co-chairman of all district development committees in the province.
The Presidential Secretariat has appointed Northern Provincial Governor Ms PMS Charles as the Co-Chairperson of the Development Committees of all the five main districts of the North with immediate effect.
The members of parliament representing the respective districts are currently working as the chairpersons of the district development committees.
But after the governor kept away from participating in the committee meetings in several districts, the presidential secretariat appointed the governor as co-chairman of all the district development committees.
