Parties and large gatherings to celebrate the New Year are banned due to the Covid 19 outbreak according to the Police.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said only families will be allowed to gather during the upcoming holidays.
“The public have been urged to strictly follow the health guidelines during the festive season” he said adding that social distancing must be maintained at all times.
Health authorities have already issued guidelines for the public to follow during the festive season. The public have been directed to follow them in order to prevent the spread of Covid 19 during the time period.
