It is reported that authorities are struggling to locate patients identified as Covid 19 infected from Atalugama as they have provided false details to officials conducting the PCR testing. According to officials out of 17 patients identified yesterday they had located 16 with the greatest difficulty and admitted them to hospital for treatment.

According to officials all 16 had provided false details and during investigations it has been revealed that more persons subjected to PCR tests had provided false information to the authorities.

Out of 64 random tests carried out recently five tested positive for Covid and therefore another 100 residents were subjected to PCR tests. Officials also said people in the area are attempting to avoid being tested.

Therefore considering the situation, officials are set to take a decision on the area (22) today.
