Father Cyril Gamini, asserts that thorough scrutiny of the evidence he provided to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) could lead to the identification of the true perpetrators behind the Easter Sunday attacks.
Speaking today (19) during a four-hour statement given to the CID regarding the Easter Sunday terror attack, Father Cyril emphasized the importance of delving deeply into the facts he presented. In addition to his statement, Father Cyril also handed over a 12-page letter addressed to the President, detailing his concerns and findings, to the CID.
Highlighting the upcoming fifth anniversary of the Easter attack, Father Cyril announced plans for a commemorative march next Sunday. He extended an open invitation to people of all backgrounds, irrespective of caste or religion, to participate in the event.
Father Cyril clarified that the objective of this initiative is not solely to seek justice for Catholics but to address a broader societal issue. He underscored the need to challenge a culture where criminals can evade accountability after committing heinous acts, emphasizing the importance of national unity in this endeavor.
