A team of International Monetary Fund (IMF) team will arrive Sri Lanka on tomorrow (20) to continue discussions with Sri Lankan authorities financial assistance sources said.
According to the sources they will hold discussions with the President and Prime Minister who is also the finance minister as well as Central Bank and Finance Ministry officials . Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has requested from IMF heads to make arrangements to finalise the staff level agreement during this visit, the PM’s office earlier said.
Sri Lanka has sought 5 Billion USD for the foreign currency requirements within this year from the fund.
