Health workers of the federation of health professionals are preparing to call a two-day strike from tomorrow (02).
A Spokesman said the strike was called because the government had not yet resolved its demands, including the elimination of pay anomalies.
Eighteen health unions, including nurses and paramedics, have been on strike for nine days since June 7.
They ended the strike after a discussion with the Minister of Health.
Ravi Kumudesh, the convener of the Health Professionals Association, said that the decision to go on strike was taken as the decisions taken during the discussion had not been implemented so far.
He also said that the strike would not be effective in all children’s hospitals, maternity hospitals, kidney hospitals and cancer hospitals.
