The Government Medical Officers Association has emphasized the importance of the CID investigating the incident involving the refusal of the Chairman to accept an order for immunoglobulin antibiotic injections. The order was forwarded by the Medical Supplies Department to the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, resulting in the removal of the Chairman from his position by the Minister of Health.
The lawyer representing the Attorney-General has reportedly confirmed from test reports that the immunoglobulin drug in question is not suitable for testing or administration to patients. The GMOA urges the CID to scrutinize the individuals responsible for ordering the drug, the signatories on relevant letters, and whether any orders were issued above those signatures.
Dr. Aluthge, representing the association, accuses Ministry of Health officials of avoiding the implementation of the proposed tithe program, designed to prevent fraud and corruption in emergency medicine purchases.
