Covid infected Priyath Bandu claimed to have developed a Covid cure

Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrama, Secretary to the Ministry of Water Supply and Drainage who has tested positive for Covid 19 had recently claimed that he too had come up with a drug to cure the virus.

Recently, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Research Council, Dr. Hemantha Dodampahala had stated that a team including Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrama had developed a drug to treat Covid 19 and had submitted an application for future provisions including clinical research in the country.

Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrama, a former Chairman of the Ports Authority, is currently the first senior government official to be diagnosed with Covid 19 and the Minister of the Ministry, Vasudeva Nanayakkara is currently receiving treatment after testing positive for the virus as well.
