When inquired he said the owner of the cattle said his buffalos used in paddy farming had been stolen and then slaughtered in this manner. The farmer had claimed this had been happening for sometime and that the thieves had even killed pregnant cows. “They leave the unborn and dead calves near the heads,” he said.

The farmer had said he has not received any support or help in this regard. According to villagers in the area, the cattle heads are left in this manner to inform of the owners that they have been stolen and slaughtered.
