The Central Bank has opted to prolong the suspension of Pan Asia Bank’s license to function as a primary dealer for an additional six months.
The Company Secretary of Pan Asia Bank relayed this information to the Colombo Stock Exchange yesterday (15), confirming the extension of the suspension period from that date onwards.
The initial suspension of Pan Asia Bank’s primary dealer license was enforced by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on August 15th, 2017. Subsequently, the Central Bank has periodically extended this suspension, with the latest extension covering the next six months.
Despite the suspension of its primary dealer license, the Central Bank clarifies that Pan Asia Bank’s regular operations and transactions in the secondary market will remain unaffected.
