Replacing the outsting members who took over ministerial posts from the government Sri Lanka Freedom party has appointed 10 new members to their Central committee, Galle District MP Shan Wijelal De Silva said.
He also says that these appointments were made for the vacancies created for those who were removed from the positions of the party due to accepting the government positions without obeying the decision of the Sri Lanka National Party.
The new central committee members of the Sri Lanka National Party are former governor Reginald Coorey, Kurunegala organizer Lakshman Wendaruva, Avissawella organizer Sumit Soysa, Kundasale organizer lawyer Sunil Amaratunga, former Sabaragamuwa provincial minister lawyer Bhanu Manupriya, and Anamadua organizer Ananda. Sarathkumara, Graduate Association President Rashika Deshapriya, Mahiyangana Organizer and Mahiyangana Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman KB Gunawardena Dadigama Organizer Warakapola Former Regional Council Chairman Kitsiri Wijetunga, Gampaha District Organizer Ri Shan Abeygunaratne have been appointed.
Nimal Siripalada Silva, Mahinda Amarawira, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Chamara Sampath Dahanayake, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Jagath Pushpakumara, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Shantha Bandara, Suren Raghavan, who took over government posts against the decision of the party, were removed from all the positions held by the party.
