Borella Sirisumana Thero, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department yesterday (01) at his temple in Kadawatha, has been remanded until the 16th after being produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today (November 2).
The Criminal Investigation Department arrested Sirisumana Thero of Borella yesterday (Nov. 1) in connectio with the fraud of millions allegedly headed by Thilini Priyamali . He was taken to the Criminal Investigation Department headquarters for questioning.
The monk was arrested when the facts related to the storage of fake Gold bars in the temple by Priyamali duped the investors during the investigations regarding the alleged financial frauds were revealed.
