Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Thera said that there is information that there are ten more MPs with dual citizenship in the Parliament.
The Thera says MPs with dual citizenship should resign immediately.
“We have come to know that there are about 10 other MPs in the Parliament who are not eligible for the title of MP and hold illegal status such as dual citizenship. We ask those MPs to respect their dignity and resign from their MP positions now.
We would like to strongly remind the party leaders that they should not choose such illegal persons when choosing their party representatives. Everyone should learn lessons from such judgments.”He further said,
