The budget presented for the year 2021 in the Mirigama Pradeshiya Sabha has been passed with a majority of 21 votes including the vote of a female PS member of the JVP.
The budget presented by the PS Chairman Nandasiri Ranatunga of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) received 31 votes in favor and only 10 votes against.
In a startling move JVP MP Vasana Dharshani Fernando also expressed her support to the SLPP.
