Yesterday (3), the Chennai Police arrested a woman and three other individuals for attempting to transport 4.23 kg of ice drugs worth seven crore rupees under the guise of transporting tea from Chennai to Mannar.
The Chennai police revealed that the plan involved bringing the ice drug concealed in tea leaf packets to Rameswaram in a van and then transporting it to Mannar with the assistance of a boat.
Among the four arrested individuals, two are Sri Lankans, and one woman and one man are Indians.
The Chennai police have taken measures to present the four suspects in the Chennai court.
