The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau stated that a small earthquake measuring less than 2 on the Richter scale was reported from Walapane and Badulla areas this morning (22).
The quake struck at around 3.29 this morning. The quake was observed by the tsunami warning center of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau. The quake was recorded on the richter scale and lasted for 06 seconds
The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said it was conducting further investigations into the incident.
