The Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine has been approved for emergency use in Sri Lanka by the National Drug Regulatory Authority.
State Minister of Drug Production, Supply and Regulation Prof. Channa Jayasumana stated this at a ceremony held in Colombo today (22). The Minister said that the vaccine will be available in Sri Lanka soon.
The Minister of State further stated that applications have been received for several other vaccines and necessary steps are being taken regarding their approvals.
