The Fort Police Department reported the recovery of an unidentified body, suspected to be that of a Buddhist monk, on the Gallumuwadora beach.
The lifeless body was discovered floating on the beach yesterday (10).
Preliminary assessments suggest that the deceased individual was aged between 35 and 40 years. However, the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed.
Fort Police have initiated investigations to ascertain the circumstances and cause of death.
