Two individuals have been remanded in custody in connection with the murder of three Sri Lankans in Malaysia.
This incident occurred last Friday (22) in the house owned by a Sri Lankan couple on Perhentian Street, Lower Temple Village, Sentul, Malaysia. The bodies of the victims were discovered by Malaysian police on Saturday (23) with their hands bound, covered with empty plastic bags, and piled up.
Among the victims, two were tenants who had rented a room within the premises, while the third was the couple’s 20-year-old son. The age range of the deceased individuals spanned from 20 to 40 years.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid disclosed to the media that both suspects had been residing on the second floor of the house prior to the murders. Additionally, it was revealed that the suspects had known the residents of the house for six months.
The police have indicated that the murders were premeditated. Just 24 hours after the gruesome incident, law enforcement authorities released photographs of the two murder suspects and appealed to the public for assistance in locating them.
Kuala Lumpur police chief commissioner Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid has urged individuals with any information about the incident to step forward.
To facilitate the ongoing investigation, the authorities have remanded the couple who own the house. The police are diligently working to uncover the truth behind this incident.
