The court has ordered to extend the interim restraining order against former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and his brother former minister Basil Rajapaksa from travel abroad without the permission of the court until next 04th.
Today this order was given by the five-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya .
This order was issued at the time when the fundamental rights petition which had been filed in the Supreme Court by several stakeholders including the former president of Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce Chandra Jayaratne, veteran swimmer Julian Boling naming several parties responsible for the country’s economic crisis as respondents.
