Thousands of Sri Lankans protested in Geneva, Switzerland, demanding from the UN to recover the assets stolen by Sri Lankan rulers yesterday.
The protest was organized by the International Voice of the Citizens of Sri Lanka near the Broken Chair, a popular protest site in Geneva which is in front of UN headquarters .
This organization is made up of Sri Lankans living in different countries in Europe. The organizers told Lankasara that the aim of the struggle is to somehow recover the money seized through fraud and corruption and use it for the betterment of the country, despite all obstacles.

They further said that they have received the petition of 400,000 signatures collected by the protesters at the Gall Face battlefield with the aim of recovering the stolen money and it is planned to hand it over to the United Nations tomorrow (07).

The International Voice of the Citizens of Sri Lanka is also preparing to hand over to them another extension of the petition submitted to the United Nations on the 27th informing them of the Galle Face crime on the 09th.
