The Ambalangoda Police reported that a group of thieves broke into the house of former Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya in Poramba, Ambalangoda, and stole several valuable items.

According to a police spokesperson, Deshapriya and his wife arrived at their Ambalangoda residence around 2 p.m. on November 23 and discovered the break-in. He immediately filed a complaint with the Ambalangoda Police.
