The cause of death of prominent business leader Lalith Kotelawala, the former chairman of Ceylinco Group, will be announced on the 11th Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe said.
The autopsy report of Lalith Kotelawala was handed over to the court on the 22nd. Although the verdict was scheduled for the 28th, the court decided to adjourn the verdict until the 11th as the order has not been prepared.
Dr. Lalith Kotelawala, a well-known businessman in Sri Lanka, passed away on October 21, 2023. He was 84 years old when he died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Colombo. According to a complaint made by his wife’s sister Sherin Peshan Wijeratne to the Bambalapitiya Police that the death of Lalith Kotelawala was suspicious, this case was brought before the courts.
