University student protesters who had been dispersed with tear gas at Battaramulla Parliament road have returned to the roadblock at the entrance to the parliament and started a massive agitation.
According to the reporters anti riot police teams have been already placed behind roadblocks. Meanwhile, Wasantha Mudalige, the convener of the Inter University Student Federation, said that the students would spend the entire night at this road block.
Large number of university students gathered to Sri Jayawardenapura University, began their protest march along the high level road in the afternoon. They came to Rajagiriya along Nawala road and turned to Parliament road . However they were tear gassed when they were trying to break a road block and dispersed.
However a large group of students managed to return back to the road block near the Parliament road and staging a protest reporters said.
