Sri Lanka is poised to receive a stock of 100 antigen kits for Nipah virus testing in the upcoming week, as confirmed by sources within the Ministry of Health.
A spokesperson for the ministry revealed that the World Health Organization (WHO) has played a pivotal role in securing this supply of kits, and further assistance from WHO will be available should the need arise in the future.
The spokesperson noted that the forthcoming stock of antigen kits will be sourced from India, strengthening the country’s preparedness to combat Nipah virus.
