Sagara Kariyawasam, Attorney-at-Law, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna challenges the pundits who are suggesting that Sri Lanka must go for IMF to solve foreign currency crisis to show any occasion or country got a real relief from IMF assistance.
Speaking at a press conference at their party office today he further said that if there IMF is not the only option as Sri Lanka sees some other options also.

The General Secretary of the main party of the government further stated,

“Our country has been to the International Monetary Fund on several previous occasions. I wonder if we have ever been able to overcome these economic problems or go to the International Monetary Fund and go to the International Monetary Fund to find out what other countries have done to solve their own problems. The so-called pundits should tell this country that they went to the International Monetary Fund in these countries and solved their country’s problems, or that they have gone to our country on previous occasions and solved the country’s problems.

It doesn’t matter if we see such a situation. Therefore, our government considers it only as an alternative, ”said the General Secretary of the People’s Front, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam.
