According to internal sources within Sri Lanka Cricket, two high-ranking officials are actively exploring the prospect of relocating to Australia on a permanent basis.
This move is reportedly motivated by their growing concerns over potential legal actions related to corruption and fraud within the cricket institution. Under the Sports Act, there exists the possibility of a prison sentence lasting nearly 10 years if they are convicted.
Former Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has also publicly criticized the alleged corruption within the cricket body, warning that if these individuals involved in corrupt practices are prosecuted, they could face a substantial prison term.
