State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara has said that a solar power kit on the roof of his house has been drying up for six months and that the CEB had not yet complied with his request six months ago to connect the electricity generated by it to the national grid.He pointed out that being a minister he himself face a such situation and we cannot expect nothing for ordinary people.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Gammeddagoda Batik Manufacturing Company in Galle yesterday (24).

The Minister of State said that the country could not be rebuilt until the fraudsters, mafia and thieves were eradicated from the country.

At present there is 104 megawatts of solar energy in the country but the CEB does not provide the connection to add that energy to the national grid. These engineers must be punished first.
