Minister Johnston Fernando said in Parliament today that there was a plan to interdict the police officers of the Parliament for allowing MP Harin Fernando to bringing a small torch to the Parliament yesterday.He further stated that suc a action would be unfair too these officers.
The Chief government whip also pointed out that not only a torch but MP Manusha Nanayakkara and Harin Fernando has brought a parcel in to the Parliament without even allowing to scan, which is a serious issue.
Mr. Johnston Fernando asked in Parliament today that the police officers are very helpless in such a situation and how they are doing their duty when the Members of Parliament are behaving in this manner.
