Former Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage publicly acknowledged and confessed today (16) in Nawalapitiya that an SLPP government is not properly equipped and unable to work towards bringing economic recovery to the country.

He said that the biggest challenge facing the country at this time is rebuilding the economy, and the person who could overcome that challenge is the current President, Ranil Wickremesinghe.

He also mentioned that he believes the current president will be able to manage the economy and salvage the country from the economic mess by the end of this year. He also said that the president would be supported by his party to move forward in the next two years.
