Sri Lanka Freedom Party has decided not to leave the government at this moment Lankadeepa reports.
It is learned that the party is of the view that it is not appropriate to leave the government at a time when the country is in a serious crisis and should work with the government to resolve the crisis.
Sources say that the vast majority of the 14 members in the SLFP parliamentary group are of the same opinion and only one or two have expressed the view that they should leave the government.
Accordingly, the SLFP will continue to work with the government, party sources said.
