Samagi Jana Balawega is to broadlyy discuss the matter that former parliamentarian and a member of the party Karunaratne Paranavithana and other several party members who have take part in the protest organized by UNP recently, internal sources revealed. The probe will be carried out over their participation of the protest without approval of the party sources further said.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa had strongly objected to the participation of Karunaratne Paranavithana and his party in this satyagraha with the full knowledge of the Commander of the 43 Division Champika Ranawaka. However, another group of parliamentarians have applauded the move of the 43 Division.

It is also reported to Lankasara that a program to criticize the 43 Division personnel including Champika Ranawaka has been launched on social media through media friends affiliated to the Samagi Janabalawegaya.

However, Champika Ranawaka says that in order to recover from the current situation facing the country, all parties should work together to build a common program.

He further stated that he and his team as the 43rd Division work not only with the UNP but also with other parties and that a group including the Deputy Leader of the UNP also participated in the anniversary celebrations of the 43 Division.
