Sinopec Energy Lanka, has officially begun its business activities by initiating fuel supply operations at its first authorized filling station in Mattegoda, Colombo.
To mark its entry into the Sri Lankan market, Sinopec has launched its initial round of promotional measures, offering a Rs 3 per liter pump discount on both petrol and diesel.
The company is strategically preparing for a seamless transition by systematically taking over the management of 150 contracted fuel supply stations before October, adhering to a well-defined plan.
Under a 20-year license granted by the Ministry of Power and Energy, Sinopec has secured the authority to operate 150 petrol stations in Sri Lanka. This long-term contract, signed in May, empowers Sinopec to engage in the import, storage, distribution, and sale of petroleum products across the nation.
