Bangladesh Sets Target of 165 to the Sri Lankan Team

In the second match of the Asia Cup, Bangladesh won the toss but couldn’t complete their allotted 50 overs, getting bowled out for 164 runs in 42.4 overs.

The Sri Lankan team’s commendable performance in the first half of the Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh match deserves full credit.

Najmul Hossain Shanto stood out as he valiantly fought for Bangladesh, scoring 89 runs off 122 balls, including 7 fours.

Tovid Hridoi contributed 20 runs from 41 balls, while Mohammad Naim managed 16 runs from 23 balls. The rest of the team failed to cross the 6-run mark individually.

Sri Lanka’s Mahish Thiekshana showcased excellent bowling prowess, claiming 2 wickets for 19 runs in 8 overs. Matisha Pathirana secured 4 wickets for 32 runs. Dhananjaya de Silva, Dunit Vellalage, and Dasun Shanaka also managed to take wickets each.

Sri Lanka faces the target of 165 runs to secure victory.
