The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee has revealed the 15-man squad that will take part in the prestigious 2023 ODI Asia Cup.
The tournament is set to take place in the UAE.
However, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chamira, Dilshan Madhushanka, and Lahiru Kumara were originally selected but will now miss the tournament due to injuries from LPL.
To replace these players, Binura Fernando and Pramod Madhushan have been nominated. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has forwarded their names to the Ministry for approval from the Sports Minister.
One player who will be a welcome addition to the squad is Kusal Janith Perera. He has been recovering from Covid-19 but is expected to join the team after making a full recovery.
