A shooting occurred near the Galle Dadella Lighthouse Hotel today afternoon (18), as reported by Galle Police.
The incident unfolded when a group of individuals, traveling in a WagonR-type van, targeted a three-wheeler driver in the vicinity. Fortunately, the three-wheeler driver managed to escape unharmed despite the assailants firing at him.
The targeted three-wheeler driver is identified as a resident of Galle Unawatuna.
The Galle Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the motives behind the shooting and identify the individuals involved in the attack.
