A shooting has taken place within the Mahara prison after a group of prisoners had attempted to escape the Police said. According to sources the shooting by prison officials has left one inmate dead and three others injured.
Reports of unrest within the Prison have been coming in and the Police said a group of STF officers have been sent to the Prison to help the Prisons officials control the situation.
