ITAK’s Mavai Senadhiraja Confident On President Ranil’s victory

Sri Lanka’s Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) senior leader, MP Mavai Senathirajah, believes that President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is running as an independent candidate in the presidential election, will win.

He said this while in a meeting between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Ilankei Tamil Arasu Katchi Party leader Mavai Senadhiraja took place at the house of Mavai Senadhiraja in Kankasanthurai yesteday (07).

According to the president’s media division, Senadhiraja told the president that after his victory, the president has to solve the unresolved problems of the north and do a lot of work for the people of the north.

However, the Central Committee of the Ilankei Tamil Arasu Kachchi Party met and decided to support the Samagi Jana Balavega, the media spokesman of the party M. Sumanthiran stated.

But shortly after the statement was issued, the leader of the party, Mawei Senadhiraja, said that he was not even aware of the party’s decision to support the Samagi Jana Balawega.
