Russian forces confirmed the death of Major General Vladimir Savadsky, the deputy commander of Russia’s 14th Army Corps, in Ukraine.
The governor of Russia’s Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, stated that Zavadsky died “at a combat outpost in the special operations zone.” Zavadsky, a highly skilled officer and former tank commander, is considered a significant loss for Russia.
This marks the seventh confirmed death of a major general in the conflict, with a total of 12 senior officers reported to have died since the war’s beginning.
