Former MP Ranjan Ramanayake who was barred from travelling to USA by the Emigration officials left early hours of this morning following the clearance his travel ban. He boarded to a qatar Airways flight which was bound to Doha and he will travel to USA from there.
According to Ramanayake he was prevented from travelling earlier day day due to system error of the information System of Department off Emigration and Immigration.
“I planned my trip to the USA and Canada following the assurance given by my lawyers that there is no travel ban imposed on me. However the issue is that the computer network of the Emigration Department has not been updated,” Ramanayake had told to Daily Mirror.
“I have spoken to the relevant sources and the matter has been resolved and I will get on with my trip shortly,” he said.
He will participate 10 musical events in the USA and later he will travel to Canada to perform in five shows.
