The Railway Station Master’s union says that the Railway Staion Masters have called on a 24 hours strike and withdraw from all services from today (05) night.
Union’s General Secretary Kasun Chamara said that in view of the current fuel crisis in the country, the executive committee of the union has decided to withdraw from all services from 12.00 tonight, protesting against the operation of only a few train journeys and oppressing the passengers.
The Union of Station Masters also stated that the pressure of the passengers was put heavily on the station masters today due to the failure of the management to inform the passengers whether the train will be cancelled.
